How to select the perfect Wedding Gown

Finding your gown starts with choosing the style best suited to your figure. It is important to keep an open mind and allow plenty of time for ordering.

Selecting the perfect wedding gown

There are five basic styles of wedding gowns:

  • A-LINE
  • BALL GOWN
  • COLUMN OR SHEATH
  • EMPIRE
  • MERMAID / FIT AND FLARE / TRUMPET

A-Line
A-Line gowns have a form-fitting bodice that gradually develops into a full skirt. By skimming the body, the A-Line lengthens the body and narrows the hip.

Ball Gown
The ballgown is the most tradictional style of wedding dress. it is characterised by a full skirt and fitted bodice

Column / Sheath
Sheath dresses are characterized by the narrow width at the top and bottom. Brides who are tall and thin will best suit this style.

Empire
Characterized by the narrow fit just below the bustline, these gowns perfectly streamline the body. They are also the perfect dress for women with a little bundle of joy on the way!

Mermaid / Fit and Flare / Trumpet
Fitted from the bust to the knees, these dresses dramatically flare out to the ground. Mermaid gowns are famous for highlighting the beauty of a woman's curves.
